Get a motion activated sprinkler. you can get them on Amazon.
Hi Ann. I'm Cindy. I live next to woods and the DuPage River. We see wildlife often including deer. I love to garden. But the animals treat my vegetable garden like a buffet. I tried everything under the sun to keep them out of my garden. The only thing that I have tried, and has worked, has been shredded soap, Irish Spring. You can shred them on a box grater or even in a food processor. I buy the big 12-pack and shred them all at one time. I store it in a 5 gallon bucket with lid, out in my shed. Every Spring, after I get my garden in, I spread the soap shreds around the perimeter and in between my plants. I still see evidence of my garden being eaten, but not nearly as much as I used to. I put out more soap after heavy rain. The 12-pack lasts me all summer. Good luck Ann.
Have you tried deer fencing?
Hi Ann, I was just going to suggest the Irish Spring soap remedy that Cindy wrote about above. I've not tried this because I don't have the problem, but have read in other posts/articles that it works well. The only issue, as Cindy mentions, is that it washes away with time. Well worth trying, don't you think?
