Turn a hutch into a bar
It's very easy to do it. Just unscrew the seat, buy a new fabric and then place new fabric on it. Buy a Staple gun though. It will be a big help but all it will take you 30 minutes for 6 chairs as I have done it.
Good luck,

Can't see much other than the leather, can you back that photo up to show how the leather is attached???
I would recover by taking apart the chair, and attaching fabric with a nailgun. You could also add in nailheads. Heres a tutorial! https://www.hunker.com/12318100/how-to-reupholster-leather-chairs
Just upholster with new fabric or faux leather

Hi ! Usually the seat part of the chair is screwed into the frame from underneath. Find a fabric that picks up the color of the back of the chair . Cut it larger than the seat so you have to cover the sides and to be able to enough room to staple it to the bottom . Than re screw it to the frame . You don't show the legs of the chair , you can change the color using spray paint . Good luck !
I agree with everyone about reupholstering it yourself and the nail gun or staple gun but some people may not feel comfortable with that. One issue is what to use - I would use a contrasting fabric since match leather is tough or in this case it looks like bonded leather which does not hold up well hence the seat which gets most use looks worn. The other option and I have seen great results is using I think Angula's leather paint (something like that). It magically hid alot of sins and renewed the leather. Just make sure you prep well ie clean and use acetone to rid of the original finish.
I would use a fabric to re- upholster just the bottoms
Unscrew from frame. Take the leather off, leave the cushions. You can do the back and seat at the same time. Just stretch the fabric and staple with a staple gun or Make a slipcover for the top.

I agree that reupholstering is the answer and it is simple enough. Use the seat covers as the pattern for the new covers. One more thing you might want to do is replace or at least fill in the padding. I can see that in this pic. that it is dipping down in the center. -also use a fabric/material that can stand the test of time and spills.
Hi Renee, if you like color, you can recover the damaged seat part with whatever material or faux leather color you like, and you can save a bit of time by just painting the back to match the seats. It will save . you some money as well
