Hi Tracy, hope this helps, good luck with your yard sale! https://www.moneytalksnews.com/10-top-tips-successful-yard-sale/
I have lots of tips as I have had many and all financially successful. The last one I had was last Sept and I held it in my house because it was mostly vintage clothing and linens. 1) have everything you are selling clean and priced. This is really important. Yard sales are work anyway and so take an extra step or two and make it lucrative for yourself. 2) cover your tables with cloths or sheets and keep packing material and bags under them. 3) have only one cashier. (I always use a money box as it looks better than a fanny pack) 4) set a time after which you will give a discount, do not this first thing. If it is warm weather have a bowl of water for dogs. Don't take in other people's things to sell unless you need more inventory and are getting a cut and make them abide by your rules. I am already planning two more sales in my life. One for an overabundance of china and one for all the many paper items, books and art we have accumulated. One of my sales put storm windows on my house and another paid for a laid stone driveway. I make money on these and you can too. The one I had last year gave me weekly extra spending money till about a month ago.
Advertise, advertise! Make lots of signs and post on online forums, and fb groups.
There are lots of tips here:

I would make sure everything is organized and labeled with a price tag. I would lay things out by similar category. I would advertise on Facebook and put signs around the neighborhood

We just had one! You can designate tables for small things and have everything on the table the same price. You can use colored stickers to determine the prices (for example all red stickers are $2) Make a poster showing the colors and the prices.
I would keep like items in the same areas. Use several tables and/or a blanket on the lawn. I use stickers with prices on everything. Have fun and good luck!
Group like items together and price tables rather than individual items.
