Just brush it on and stick it. Recoat top.
Make sure you're using the right formula for the best results. Here's a handy list that will help you out:

You may get some bubbles. Sometimes they will flatten when it dries but you can try to get most of them out when it is still wet. Have fun.
I would put the glue on a small area first then put the paper on then add more glue then cover with paper and keep going
