Hi William. One of the easiest home remedies is to use warm water and dish soap. This way acts as flea traps. Place small dishes filled with warm water and dish soap around your house. Do this at night and change the water and soap solution every day.
Hi ! Definitely try diatomaceous earth ,it is an all natural substance that is safe to use around kids and pets ! I bought the organic food grade type off Amazon for about
$10 . This stuff has tons of uses for around the home , both inside and outside , as well as health benefits for pets and people ! 😀
This isn't a spray recipe, but in addition to that, you should do the following:

I spray the perimeter of my property and base of my house once a month with white vinegar. It does help. Needs to be repeated after every rain event. I live where it hasn't rained since May. Different areas of the country are more prone to flea and tick infestations than others. I live where it is extremely dry (humidity about 13% today), so less of an issue for me. We have many pets including cats and dogs.
Vet told me to sprinkle borax on all soft surfaces, and leave for 3 hrs, then vacuum up. I use a glass jar with lots of holes in the lid, and 20 Mule Team Laundry Borax. It won't harm pets or you.
I also use my carpet cleaner regularly as the water and pet Zep Carpet Cleaning Solution kills the eggs which hatch every 9 days.
I also use Greenerways Bug Repellent thats organic non-toxic .... lemongrass oil, cedar oil, citronella oil. I get it on Amazon but some home stores carry it.
