Hi there. You could make a cute nightstand, using the old empty drawer spaces for books or picture frames.
Use basket organizers in place of the drawers. Look at places like the Container Store for ones that fit. Paint and use for a kitchen coffee station, a hall way "drop all" center for keys and mail, a place to set plants under a window......
I would remove the center divider and leave it like an open wood box, refinish it, and buy a nice basket to set inside it for storage. It could be used as an end table, a side table in the bedroom, or even in a den to hold knitting/crocheting etc. to keep it handy when you are relaxing and tv or a movie and want to work on any stitchery such as embroidery, rug tying, or any such craft.
I would use it as a bookshelf or add baskets to the spaces for storage. Give it a little paint and it should be beautiful!
