Sandra: simply re-scratch
I use Old English polish on scratches. Our furniture is over 20 yrs old and there are no scratches showing at all. Old English comes in dark or light, we use the dark. It only takes a little dab on a rag to apply it to the scratch.
Old English makes a great scratch cover. or you can try Formbys.
