Decide what you really need. Organize drawers and put stuff away. Use under the counter things like magnetic knife strips for metal things, paper towel holder, paper plate holder. Inside the cabinets I use bins that fit side by side to organize spice packs, spice etc.
Hi ! If you have any wall space you can make a wall pantry , that doesn't have to be used to store pantry items , it can be used to put whatever items are crowding your counters . You can put stuff in baskets or jars to make it look neater . I posted a step by step tutorial on this site called wall pantry storage solution . It show how to put up easy , sturdy shelves ( just a few , or from floor to ceiling ) using a wood board and plumbers pipe . The project you are asking about was a wooden lazy Susan that you screw cup books into , then attach to the underside of the cabinet .
Anything you use once or twice a year should be stored in another place. Multiples of dishes and flatware too.
You can screw the cup hooks directly to the underside of your cabinets.
