How can I paint my cabinet hinges without removing them?
I want to paint my old ugly cabinets and I have ugly hinges to match and am concerned about taking the hinges off and not getting them back on easily. What are some thoughts about leaving the doors on and painting the hinges the same color as the doors? Thank you for the help!

You’ll be happiest with the finish if you take them off. Be sure to number them and the spot where they go back - that way your holes will line up perfectly again.
if you really don’t want to take them off. Cover the door around the hinge really well with painters tape. Paint them very carefully. :)
Cheryl....Use a snack baggie for the 2 hinges that go to that door plus the screws. # each cabinet door then put the matching # on the baggie.
if the hinges are greasy and dirty you can clean them in a crock pot (listed below) and then paint the hinges

I think it will be much easier and faster to take the hinges off the doors vs. taping them to protect them from the cabinet paint. It should be fairly easy to put the hinges back on since the holes are already drilled. Plus there are lots of colors options you can do for the hinges to make them look awesome with your new cabinets.
