Hi Karen,
What a good question! Hope this helps you:

Hi ! We went to Lowe's after we bought our first house and found paint for concrete that is used on garage floors . We used a blue/gray color . Then we bought colored flakes that you sprinkle on the floor, the container we chose has blue , black and white flakes . We bought one container , we have a one car garage . But you can sprinkle them as heavy or light as you want . First empty and clean the garage , we hosed off the floor and let it dry . Then you put down the first coat of paint , going across , side to side . After it dries then you put down your second coat of paint , going in the opposite direction. This time roll out about a 3 foot deep section and sprinkle the flames over it . Then keep doing that until you've backed your way out of the garage and you're done !
Whatsxwrong with just concrete.
Good site that discusses 4 options:

Concrete is so durable and easy to wash off. They do have lots of paints and finishes for concrete that make it look a bit more dressed up. Good luck!
