How can I cut tile without a tile cutter?
Any ideas on how to cut tile without buying a tile cutter. I have a wire cutter would that work. It is small pieces of tile with a mesh backing but is staggered tiles and I need straight line for corners.

Rent a tile cutter from a local tool rental. They have hourly and daily rates.
If you just need straight cuts--no L shapes--you could cut them with a glass cutter--inexpensive at a hardware store.
We have one of these: https://www.amazon.com/M-D-Building-Products-49194-14-Inch/dp/B0057NWE8Q/ref=lp_553184_1_15?s=power-hand-tools&ie=UTF8&qid=1574015959&sr=1-15
It's inexpensive and way less messy than a normal tile saw. Plus the cuts are much cleaner. For smaller tile projects, especially the mosaic type, you might be able to get away with tile nippers but the cuts will be more jagged.

Personally, I'd shell out the few dollars to rent a wet saw. You'll get precise cuts without wasting tiles and the job will go quickly.
They make portable wet saws that are affordable!

Emy has the right idea. Here's one at Home Depot but Menard's and Lowes also have them.
