Hi ! I don't know how to clean it because I don't use it . Years ago , I got rid of all my aluminum cookware because health concerns . I read about the links to Alzheimer's disease and that many European country's had banned the cookware years ago . I just thought I would pass on the information .
Cool the pan before you clean it, and then let it soak in soapy water. Use a sponge or scrubby that is non abrasive when you scrub it.

9 Tips for Caring for Cast Iron Pans
I apologize for answering your question incorrectly earlier !!!!!
I use brillo and hot water to clean off rust and discoloration . Rinse well and dry thoroughly !!! Then re season the pan . Rub a light coat of vegetable oil inside the pan , put it in a pre heated oven , set to 350°, for 30 minutes . Let pan cool down and repeat the oil and heat , then cool down , 2 more times !
Do this before cooking in the pan !!!! This might seem time consuming , but it is well worth it !!! Do this treatment about once a year , or when needed .. Some people never use water in cast iron pans , but I have always used soap and water to clean mine . You just can't leave them soaking for hours !!! After cleaning , remember to dry thoroughly and rub a drop of oil over the inside , wipe it with a paper towel . They will last a lifetime it scared for properly .
