I’m not a fan of shiny and dated, but this beauty has potential!
To start, I gave it a good clean with Krud kutter, a fantastic cleaning spray for old furniture!, took off the old, broken hardware, sanded lightly, then wiped down with a damp cloth.
I had my husband remove the top as I decided I wanted this piece to have a rustic farmhouse feel. We used a shelf from an old armoire, which was perfect! It just needed cut to fit!
The wood tones are just perfect with the lush green color from Glidden called castle stone.
For more interest and color I used a buffalo check paper to line each drawer!
Using different hardware always changes the look of a piece and can be inexpensive!
Now we have a gorgeous, fresh, farmhouse finished piece, ready for its new home!

Absolutely beautiful! After painting did you use the Johnson's paste wax to seal it?

How did you get the paint to look so smooth?
This is the prettiest makeover I've seen..BEAUTIFUL! I only have one question..there were 2 colors shown Castle Rock and Thyme Green. Did you use both?
Looks great! The handles are a bit crooked.
