How can I make an effective DIY drain cleaner for my bathtub?
I have researched and used many recipes!! Vinegar, baking soda, ceam of tartar, salt, boiling water, etc..... Also have pulled out hair, and all the other "stuff"...EEEK!!!! It helped, but it still does not drain properly??? Can anyone help???? Thanks in advance!!!!!

Hi there, you've probably already tried this but have you tried a wire clothes hanger? Stretch it it and feed it in there as far as you can and see if there is more stuff you can pull out of there?

Zep makes a great product. I got at lowe’s for showers. I had to resort to it after the baking soda didn’t work.
You may need to snake the drain. When baking soda/vinegar/boiling water doesn't work, that's what we resort to. Good luck!

A bathtub has a P trap under it like other sinks and this might be where the clog is occurring. In addition to any of the treatments you mentioned use a plunger with a partially full tub while draining. You'll have to cover the over flow drain with a rag while you plunge. That should help clear the clog.
I’ll second the drain snake, that might do the trick without chemicals.
