Can you post a photo so we can see what you have to work with? And offer viable suggestions. Do you have space to add equally from both sides or just add 3 feet the length of the driveway on one side? Pea gravel is quick and easy.
Gravel is probably the easiest option. But yes a photo would be helpful.
Hi, Tanya!
Landscaping timbers can be added to either side and the area between can be raked flat then filled with gravel or even gravel mixed with quick-setting concrete. Good luck with your project - I hope this helps!
Gravel, patio blocks, pavers.
Decomposed gravel is nice because it packs down and makes a solid base.
We could provide much more accurate answers if you posted a picture.
How easy or how hard of a job it would be to widen a driveway depends partly on what type of material is covering your driveway now, and what type of material is on either side of it.

add crushed gravel to either side of it.
Will it need to support vehicles? You’ll need to pick a material depending on how you plan to use the extension.
Hello Tanya,
Depends on what your drive is made from and whether you mind if it looks different. You could just drive over the ground and compact it - it all depends on what finish you are after.
