I just learned a new trick to clean a tin-lined copper pan, or any tin pan. Take a piece of aluminum foil and fold over 4x to line the bottom of your pot (use a pyrex dish on the bottom if it floats up), Then add 1 tbsp of baking soda and 1 tbsp of non-iodized salt (I used kosher salt) then add boiling water to the rim, let sit at least 30 mins or more..... all the tarnish transfers to the foil in the bottom. I used a brillo pad to remove the residue left after removing the foil and boiling water..... wow, sparkling clean.

I put hot water in them with a squirt of Dawn dish detergent. Let it sit and washed clean with very little effort.
Hi Dotti. If your pots and pans have seen better days, try putting oven cleaner on them. Let it sit for 1 - 2 hrs and then scrub with a non-abrasive scrubbie. This works on your sheet trays and cookie sheets too.
Hi Dotti,
If Washing up liquid and hot water doesn't work, try a Brillo pad and hot water!

Outside: baking soda, marble paste, barkeeper's friend, or SOS pad.
Inside: it will depend on the finish so check with manufacturer but in general I use blue Dawn and super hot water. To scrub you can use a sponge "scrub daddy" or Norwex's netted dish cloth or some other medium that is safe for all surfaces.
