Hi Jackie,

Not quite sure what your concern is, is it fruit flies, fungus growing somewhere in your house. Is fungus affecting plants? Please get back to us so you can be best helped.

It sounds like fungus gnats. Start by letting the soil in your potted plants dry out on top. They like to lay their eggs in damp soil. Here's a link with more information:

Gnats and fruit flies can be killed by placing a little apple cider vinegar in a small dish. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and poke a bunch of holes in it with a fork. Set the dish out and they will get inside and die.
Hello. Have you established if they are coming from your house plants or could they possibly be coming from your sink and shower drains?
In my experience at least— the fruit flies and gnats are a different critter than the drain flies. Here’s a reference that could be helpful. personally I find the fruit flies and gnats easier to get rid of than the drain flies. Hope you solve your situation.
