Hi Sherry, pebble tiles would look lovely as a backsplash in a bathroom. We used them to tile our patio wall and the pebble tiles withstand the elements beautifully so it should last a long time in a bathroom too. You can always go to Habit for Humanity Restore. They sell tiles at 5c-15c a tile. Floor and Decor has subway tiles for .25c a tile.

Sheet Masonite cut to size and any Contact Paper or Fabric you most like.
If using fabric you'll need Glue for the Backside.
At that stage you may as well stuff it too.
