How do I clean the plastic protector in a Longaberger basket ?
There is an orange/brown stain on the plastic protector of a Longaberger basket that I’d like to sell so I want to clean it up. It’s been this way for a while so I’m not sure if anything can be done. Help would be very appreciated! Thank you!

You could try making a paste with baking soda and water and giving it a scrub.
Hi Emily, hope these help you out,
Wipe the basket with a damp sponge or soft cloth, following the weave to get rid of dust or dirt. To remove stains, mix a tablespoon of mild, alkaline-based liquid dish soap in a gallon of tepid water, and wipe the basket, again going with the weave. Apply gently pressure for stubborn stains.
Mix a cleaning solution containing 1/4 cup of dish soap, 2 cups of warm water and a cup of white vinegar. Wash the basket with this solution, using a sponge. The soap loosens dirt and mold while the vinegar, which is an acid, disinfects.

Fill with vinegar covering higher than the stain. Pour about 1/3 box of baking soda and let it sit for about an hour or two. Then scrub with a brush. Rinse well. Another option would using hydrogen peroxide and baking soda paste on the stain. Let it sit and dry. Peroxide is a bleaching agent.
Hello there,
You could also try a Wet Wipe or a damp cloth and Barkeepers friend. Best wishes.
Here is what I do. Fill it with hot water and add a scoop or pod of Oxiclean. Let it sit overnight. Should come out after soaking. If it doesn't, I have also purchased denture cleaner at the dollar store and let something soak overnight. Good luck!
Hi Emily. I think a "Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser" would take that stain out. Begin by letting it soak with equal parts vinegar and water for a couple hours. Dump that out and begin scrubbing with a Magic Eraser. Good luck Emily.
Try washing with peach and letting it sun dry. Use a dry soft white cloth for drying any damp places after an hour of sunshine. Good luck! Jewell
It looks like the stain has set into the plastic, I would try baking soda paste (baking soda plus a small amount of water to create a paste), put that on the stain and let it sit at least an hour and then wash it off with water. This can be repeated if needed. If no luck then go to the denture tablet cleaner and let it soak 6-8 hours.
Plastic can turn this color cause it was exposed to sunlight/UV breaking down the plastic. If so, you can't clean it off.
Maybe try Painting it or getting a new cover or selling as is and let buyers do the worrying.
