How can I put up a creative clothesline?
We live in a quaint middle class neighborhood. Our yard has either high shrubs or a 6' fence surrounding it. I'm old school & would like a clothes line to use occasionally.I do not wish to have a round one that can be purchased. I'm familiar with the old fashion type. Any creative ideas would be appreciated.

Robin...my husband made mine using metal fence posts & welding one across top..into a T.
I have two with 3 lines. He drilled 3 holes on each end post & used a large eye screw through each hole to attach the clothesline.. l'm old fashion too & love mine especially for linens & curtains. Good luck
I have one mounted on the backside of the garage that winds out to hook onto a metal pole with a clip to hold in place..... best one I ever had.... mine is much older but looks like this and the clip is mounted to a steel pole.... https://www.amazon.com/Whitmor-5-Line-Retractable-Dryer/dp/B075MRJXY1/ref=sr_1_51?crid=1LUTRODH4ROI0&keywords=clothesline+outdoor+retractable&qid=1581900776&sprefix=clothes+line%2Caps%2C287&sr=8-51
My last clothesline was one that was in a reel that hid the line when not in use. It worked well for over twenty years before we moved. I will see if I can find a link for you. Meanwhile, take a look :

You could get the pull out tipe and when your done put it back it attaches to the wall and it is on a spring when you need it pull it out and clip on the wall hang clothing then when done take it down and it goes back inside
I used to use the retractable type, too. I wouldn't call it creative, but I also never worried about the kids getting hung up on it while not in use.
