Hello. If you have time to start early -I have found some of the succulents can be clipped off and just placed on top of the soil and misted and they propagate very very easily. Particularly the draping ones and hen n chicks. I often shear mine and toss them into other pots and pretty much left on their own with moist soil —they takeoff.
Happily I see them coming alive now that spring is almost here they’ve been in hanging pots on my porch all winter and they’re coming back now. These examples below are clipping specimens, in fact if a piece falls off in your mulch —it roots.....
If you have a succulent, you can try propagating some pieces of it to have on hand. After that, I'd get some small dollar store pots--they tend to have them in spring and summer.
Buy them in bulk online.
