Try rubbing some vegetable oil on it with a rag. Give it several minutes to sit and scrape with a putty knife.
Try acetone, not nail polish remover. Get the Acetone in Lowes or Home Depot. Use in well ventilated area.
I found a video for you to help remove that glue!

You could try a diluted vinegar recipe. Hope it helps. https://www.hunker.com/13420880/how-to-get-sticky-stuff-off-finished-wood
Goof Off is for removing paint spatters. Goo Gone for sticky residue. WD40 may also work. Mineral spirits would work.
I agree with William. Even though some labels on Goof Off say removes adhesive, it is better suited to removing paint. It would be easier to tell the two products apart if the packaging was not so similiar.
Hi Rita, sorry your are having a hard time removing the glue from your kitchen cabinets. Have you tried coconut oil? I use it to remove labels from bottles and it works great. I hope this helps you.
WD40
You can try Goo Gone: https://amzn.to/390c2Sl

If you do plan to put new liner it would not be a problem with some old glue left. If you were to paint or have no liner the glue would need to be removed.
Goo Gone has always worked better for me than Goof Off. I have also been lucky with vegetable oil. If your cabinets are wood you might even try mineral spirits.
I've never had any luck with the Goo Gone or the Goo Off either. Have you tried vinegar and a razor blade used carefully?
I tried vinegar with warm water but it did not help!
thank you,
