Flower beds
I picked up some stone edgers for free on Marketplace. To prepare, I put down weed barrier then mulch. Some of the area I poked holes in the weed barrier to put plants. Part of the area I placed potted plants.
It’s going to depend on a lot of things, your yard space, light, zone, and budget to name a few. I’ve used 4x4 posts, pallet wood pieces, broken concrete chunks for free versions. Try the search bar at the top left, you’ll get loads of ideas.

Contact your county cooperative extension agent's office. They will have a list of plants that thrive well in your area and maybe even some literature to give you ideas on a pleasing flower bed in the location you want to enjoy.
Hello.
Defining beds with mulch, edging, hardscape and using creative shapes and borders my favorite ideas.
Hi,
Choose a shape and line it round with Bricks on end or Stones,Low Fence, bottles plunged into the ground etc. Shapes can be anything you like, as long as you are happy with it, it is OK! Then dig over the area well and mix in Manure or
fertilizer and or compost to give it a good start. If against a wall or the house, Place the tallest plants at the back and graduate them down to the front. If an Island bed,
Place the tallest in the middle and work to the front. Hope that's enough for you to get started. Enjoy the journey ...........................

You need to take in consideration the amount of sun you get and shade. This will help determine what plants will work best for your flower beds. Also the zone you live in.
