Hi Kamiko, are you looking for low maintenance ideas? I have limestone rock i areas of my yard its low maintenance and does not need to be watered or mowed i have attached a picture, be sure to put down landscape fabric before you do the rock to keep weeds down. Hope this helps you

I would highly suggest contacting your cooperative extension. These offices are manned by volunteer master gardeners on site there waiting to answer the communities questions that know your local situation quite well.
Master gardeners are required to volunteer back designated hours ( plus continuing education) each year to maintain MG certification -this community outreach and education is their goal.

what do you envision for your yard? More concrete, fire pit area, hot tub, walkways, gazebo, outdoor theatre? There are so many ideas. I even wanted to put in an outdoor pool table in my backyard. LOL......and yes that does exist in the world.

I love putting mulch around our trees and I plant a few different hostas under them (make sure it is a shady spot). It always adds a little visual interest to the yard.
