You can cut the fabric off, add new fabric, and use hot glue to hold in place! Or, leave the existing shade and cover with fabric and glue.

Hi this is Peggy. Just a thought if you like the lampshade you can paint it. I painted a lampshade and I love it. Stay well
You need long strips of fabric and wrap over the top and under and come up and over again and keep going and overlap material until the shade is coverd
I used some left over wall paint. Covers nicely. Good luck and stay well
Keep in mind that a painted lampshade will not let as much light through as a more transparent shade. Also, the color of the paint may alter the color of the light shining through.
Hello,
Yes, you could use Underwear Stretch lace to cover. You could emulsion paint the fabric or decoupage or Stencil etc. Enjoy!

Be sure to examine the shade frame first to make sure it won’t all fall apart if you remove the fabric which will definitely complicate reassembly.
