Fill a microwavable bowl with a cup of water and 1 tablespoon of white vinegarand Microwave it for 3 minutes and leave it with the door shut for 10-15 minutes.
Steam will loosen smell-causing stuck to the walls.

lemon juice in a cup with water on high for 5 minutes. Wipe after finished.
I would microwave lemon juice in some water until it boils and then wipe down the steam. Then let a bowl of baking soda sit in it overnight.
Put a box of baking soda inside the microwave over night and shut the door. This should help remove the smell.
1 cup vinegar
1 cup water
Wooden spoon
You can add a couple of drops of lemon essential oils if the vinegar scent is too strong.
Please in a microwave safe bowl. Spoon is to prevent overheating. Turn on for 5 minutes. Sit for 2 minutes. Remove with mitt. Wipe clean.
409 spray followed by vinegar/baking soda/Dawn/water.
I put a glass bowl filled with cool water and add lemon juice to it. Run the microwave for 5 minutes, let the steam work on it. Then, while it is still moist, take everything out and scrub all the inside, using a microfiber cloth and hot soapy water. Really scrub the nooks and crannies. After the glass base, has been scrubbed clean, put it back in, and do the water method again. This time, wipe it out with a clean microfiber cloth, and leave the door open so it airs out. Mine is part of the venting above my stove, so I also clean my filters. Stay safe and well!
