How to decorate screen/front steel (?) door?
I have an ugly steel (?) front door - no window, completely plain. House is white. I am adding an old screen door. Should I paint screen and door same bright color? Paint door bright color and screen white? Want to remove screen and hang wreath in upper part of screen.

Can you share a photo? That would help with ideas. :)
It sounds like you don't like your plain front door. I like the idea of painting the door a bright color and painting the screen door white. There are plenty of ways to hang a wreath on a screen door if you want to keep your screen in the door.
I agree about painting your door. I would also suggest painting the screen door. For example, I would paint the solid door a deep green and the screen door a lighter green. Or you could do the same with any two shades of your favorite color. It would give some depth to your entry. Have fun and stay safe!
You can paint both the same or one color and one white. It's up to you! Leave the screen in your door so you can enjoy having a screen door in the summer by leaving your other door open!
Painting your door a nice bright color will really make it pop. Mine is Maroon. I have a storm door which is also maroon. It use to be white but it stood out too much for me. I use a wreath hanger in between the storm door and front door. Mine has enough room. But if yours does not, use the wreath hanger on the outside of the screen door.
I like the idea of the inner steel door a darker color and the lighter color on the outer screen door, it gives the effect of a dimension by simply framing. The wreath on the outer door would also add a complementary color to your scheme.
Hi Penn. You can paint your steel door a bold color of your choice. Paint the screen door a clean crisp white. Do not remove any screen. You could even change the screen to give it a face lift. You can hang a wreath on the steel door using a wreath holder. Good luck Penn.
It might depend on your aesthetic your personal preference. If it were my doors I would paint them the same matching colors.
Hello Penn,
Use undercoat and top coat for metal on your door. I would probably paint the door and the screen the same colour.
Yes, go with a bright color. Turquoise, Yellow, and Orange are popular right now. You could also paint trim and windows with the same color.
I like the idea of painting the door a bright color and the screen white! I think two bright colors would be overkill.
Hello Penn, absolutely paint them both the same color!! It will look super whichever color you choose, I attached a picture of how nice the doors look when you match them
I personally like it when the screen door and main door are painted the same color. What color are you leaning toward?
