Looks like a Katsura that has been lopped down a few times. It is suppose to be a tree. I am not an arborist nor do I play one on TV
I agree, looks like Katsura.
This is a sea grape shrub here is a photo of it. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/sea-grape/seaside-grape-information.htm
Cheryl A. Is correct, this is a sea grape. Very common in Florida and along southern coastal areas.
Compare the leaf veins.
First Picture: Sea grape is pennate with a round tip.
Second Picture: Katsura is palmate with a pointed tip.
It is a sea grape shrub: Sea grape can grow as a shrub or a vase-shaped tree, depending on where it's planted. It can also be trained as a hedge. The rounded, leathery leaves can grow up to eight inches in diameter. Sea grape grows in full sun or partial shade, and is very drought tolerant once established.

Sea Grapes! I love them!
Hi Michelle. Sea Grapes is often used in landscaping especially in tropical locations. A lot of times you can find them growing right on the beach . They love to grow in sand and they grow clusters that look like grapes. Michelle, for sure that is a Sea Grape.
Hi Michelle, that looks like a Sea Grape or Bay Grape - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coccoloba_uvifera
It is a Sea Grape which will become huge if let be.
Thanks to EVERYONE for your answers to strange plant. After
receiving several answers......I'm pretty sure it is a Sea Grape
plant. I looked on some plant/ leaf websites and though almost identical to my two funky plant, some had pictures of small green grape looking cluster and there is actually a dwarf sea grape...……...nonetheless, I don't really care for their appearance, unfortunately they gotta go to the sea,lol I guess
Thanks again, Michelle
