The easiest way is to get curtain rings with clips. Then you just clip the fabric to the rings and hang them on a rod. :)

You can open up the hem and run the rod through it. I did that with a bed sheet. You can also add hooks for add a large hem with open ends.
You could just measure to the length you need, then sew a wide casing. Put your curtain rod through the casing. Or you could sew the wide band and then sew another band 1/2 inch from the top of the tablecloth. This would give you a bit of a ruffle that sits above the curtain rod.
I just put a large hem in the top of 2 of my table cloths and put it on a drapery rod. If you do not have a sewing machine, you can buy the curtain clips and just pin to a rod.

The top part of a shower curtain is generally too stiff to allow it to move freely along a rod if folded over into a pocket. If you don't mind the holes showing, the clips mentioned by FrugalFamily are more practical.
Get clips to clip on and you squeeze them and they hold the curtain on and you feed through a curtain rod sold at home depot
Hi! I've done this with sheets and cloth shower curtains. Sheets generally have a large hem you can thread the rod through. I used clip on curtain rings on the shower curtain because I didn't want to hem it. You could make a no sew hem with a product like Stitch witchery if you don't want to use the clips. Good luck and stay safe!
