I'd measure the ring part and just buy a new one. Replacement globes are super cheap
I would replace it.
Hello there,
You could paint the globe with satin paint, but that would restrict the light somewhat! Better to replace - try charity shops or boot fairs garage sales etc.
Paint it with chalk paint and a rag or replace the globe.
You can replace globes fairly cheap and sometimes you can find them in the thrift stores or habitat for humanity
Home Depot and Lowe's have a lot of shades to offer. Measure the diameter of the shade to make sure your replacement fits the existing hardware.
If you can't replace it because it is specialized to that particular fan....then YES paint it with some chalk paint. I would start out by sponging it on first just to see if you can get a good look with it and it can be easily removed if you don't like it.
I would just replace it if you think it has yellowed over time. If you go to Lowes or Home Depot they have several of these globes you can buy individually to replace it with. THey're pretty inexpensive.
Spray paint or buy a new glass cover - they are inexpensive at lowes, home depot, etc

You could paint it or buy another sold at home depot
Paint will block the light. Replace it.
Just replace the globe with a white or clear one. Painting the yellow one will keep light from the room.
