Another option is to cut out some of the drywall in-between the wall studs and recess the dresser into the wall, in a room that is short on floor space, such as in a bathroom, hallway, foyer, laundry room.

You could move the chest of drawers into a closet for extra storage.
Or you can use it in a wide hallway for extra storage. If you stencil or paint the chest of drawers decoratively, it would be a nice centerpiece.
