Windows are textured for privacy so privacy films don’t work. Window opening is all tile. Do I understand correctly that you do not want to drill into the tiles to install any hardware?
If so, then I would advise to install a small exterior awning on the outside of the window.

It may not be a perfect fix, but I have used it on windows that have caused me problems when I need to block light. Get foam board, cut to fit and slide it into the window opening. You can cover it with contact paper or fabric to pretty it up. It works well for that purpose and will block the light that is upsetting her. I used to use it when I worked night shift to block the light around my air conditioner. I made a blackout curtain out of a quilt, but, you have already said curtains didn't work for you, so that won't help. I found that attaching insulation strips like you use for a drafty window kept the foam board from being dislodged. The links are for Amazon to show you, but, I am sure you could buy them at Lowe's, Home Depot or any well stocked store. Good luck and stay safe!

I have fabric curtains in my shower. I leave the window cracked and they dry out in no time. Wash every couple of weeks, no problem. I installed a rod above the window and just cut down a matching shower curtain. Might be something to consider?
Hello Linda,
You can buy a window film to stop glare or have it supplied and fitted for you, Contact for windows or a Cling!
You can use Command Hooks on each side of the window and hook a curtain on it.
If the sill is large enough to allow it, you can put a canvas photo in the window so that it looks like a frame around it.
Since the window is in the shower stall, a canvas photo is not practical, as it is going to get wet.
Linda said in her original post that window film or Cling will not stay stuck to the window, as it is textured glass.
Can you put an awning or decorative screen on the outside?
You can get them tinted.
You can add window tint to block some of the heat. I use this type of tint: https://amzn.to/2UcgIPR

This is a tutorial on how to make a "stained glass" window with children's washable paint from Crayola. If the water from the shower doesn't actually hit the window, maybe something like this is an option: https://www.craftymorning.com/paint-your-own-stained-glass-windows/

Get your self contact paper and over the window even if you only cover the center and leave the edges open for a little light
You could try a shower curtain rod across and hang a shower curtain.
