How do I transition for a 1 3/4” drop off from hall to bedroom?
Below are the pictures the yellow floor is the hallway and it goes into the master bedroom. I have the concrete square to the door way. I need the best way to transition the floor. I wanted to use the same flooring throughout the the both rooms. I just don’t want a big drop off because I can trip on it. Anything will be helpful!!! Thank you in advance.

You need a wooden door threshold ramp. Any hardware store with lumber should have it.

Yes I know but my drop off is 1 3/4” from the top of the top floor. This threshold is only .3/8”.
Thresholds come in various sizes. Also any woodworker can make a custom one. The only other thing would be to raise the other floors.
Our home has a 4" drop between the original home structure to the add on. The previous owner eventually became a wheel chair user and what he did was put in ramps to get over this drop. The ramps extend approximately 2' between the sections of the house.
We left the ramps in place for several months when we bought the house and later removed them. It was too much, so we had the ramps put back in, a much easier transition between the rooms. As an improvement we took out the wall to wall carpet and put in ceramic tile floors, the ramps are also covered with the same tile and are holding up well.
Hello,
Maybe a self leveling compound if the floor is concrete . If timber remove the threshold and create a gentle slope to the floor between rooms. Hope that is of some help!
I also agree that a ramp transition is the easiest/cheapest way to go. Otherwise you have a weird step or have to raise the bedroom floor.
A ramp was my first thought.
I found at our local restore store a beautiful piece of trim just the right size for two gaps between rooms floors. is till need two for new rooms we added after hurricane Ike though.
Hi Rick, have you thought of adding in another sub floor where they meet to reduce the drop, sub floor is fair cheap so you could add it in and have no transition, the only other thin I can think of is to add a transition strip, it will remind you that the floor changes height in the spot.
