Hi, Dennis,
"www.Houselogic.com" has an article on soundproofing windows that you should read before making this type of investment. Also, read reviews of people who have previously made the investment, as you may learn that it wasn't worth the cost. The Houselogic.com article offers more affordable options you may choose to explore.
I will tell you that having more substantial windows (wood, double pane Anderson, Pella, Loewen, etc.) with quality installers, top notch insulation and detailed caulking will make a difference in noise pollution, but will not completely block all noise.
The construction material of your home can also add to noise transmission (siding with thinner drywall, vs. older brick and hardcote plaster).
Here's a post that might help = https://foxwindowsanddoors.com/best-glass-for-noise-reduction-and-soundproofing/#:~:text=So%20Which%20Glass%20is%20Best,outperform%20the%20acoustic%20double%20glazing.
If you are purchasing new windows double pane and triple pane glass are available. Double pane windows can reduce noise by about 25% and triple pane by about 28%. If you add inside window treatment such as cellular shades and heavier drapes that you can open and close that will also help. You can buy more expensive windows that have laminated glass but they are VERY expensive. Depending on where you live and your outside circumstances you may not be able to block all of the noise.
I could not believe the difference that double-pained windows made in my home! (Except it mutes the sound of rain -- which I love!)
It is not so much the glass use double pane but window coverings to use room darkening or they do sell noise cancelling kind try ebay

Hello Dennis,
Window companies and glass supply shops supply glass especially for that purpose but it is more expensive. Companies have their own grades, best to make direct enquiries and comparisons in your area. Best wishes.
Hi Dennis, A triple pane window can eliminate 15-20% more noise. Different window companies offer their own variations of high-performance soundproof glass. This glazing is usually used in a double pane unit window only, with a thicker, tempered inner pane for best performance. Hope this helps you out
The windows that show Noise Reduction Co-efficient Numbers are the ones that have not only the glazing, but the gaskets, as well as the flashing required for the entire assembly.
No matter what you choose, become familiar with the Testing Method’s “Numbers”.

In addition, try using dual rods on each window. Use sheers underneath when you wish filtered sunlight and heavier drapes or curtains to block out the sun if necessary.
Insulated curtains will help too.
Not sure about the glass but heavy curtains will help as well as a wall of shrubs and a fence along the road.
Hi Dennis., we just got triple pane windows with argon filled glass, they are super quiet and very warm in the winter and cool in the summer!! I would recommend getting triple pane,
