My first thought was a bucket or flower pot poured with ready mix but that will be permanent. If you wanted to be able to swap out, you might be able to fill with gravel.
use a 5 gallon bucket and bag of quickset cement. put a piece of PVC pipe (big enuf so diameter size of umbrella pole will fit down into pipe) in 5 gallon bucket make sure it is "PLUMB"(level straight up & down use a couple of 2x4s to keep in place while cement hardens) then add cement around pvc pipe filling bucket let harden then you can slide umbrella pole into pvc pipe when ever you need to put umbrella out. here are some pics https://www.google.com/search?q=5+gallon+bucket+umbrella+stand&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS750US750&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=Tn7xAMBel8Pp4M%253A%252CQeUreJ6hGVPsbM%252C_&vet=1&usg=AI4_-kQqMbd_JcUiATTiWfuqlwEoXCts8A&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjwjo-us4TqAhW1IDQIHdIPDdQQ9QEwDnoECAEQMw&biw=1366&bih=657 if in area where it rains alot some small drainage holes above cement line in 5 gallon bucket along sides might be needed so it doesn't hold any standing water or just add a little Mosquito Bits or a Dunk to control mosquito larve production.

Hello Barbara,
Use a large Plastic Bucket or Bin. fill it with a layer of "Post Fix" fast drying concrete.
Add a suitable tube of metal - possibly a piece of scaffold pole, in centre and fill round with rest of Post fix mix. It should dry within the hour, but leave it overnight before releasing or cutting the bucket down. Best wishes.
Hi Barbara, I hope you are wanting an outdoor umbrella base. Good luck with your project.

You can use a Christmas tree holder stand, use a pic pipe the size the umbrella pole will fit., center it in the stand and fill around it with conrete.
How heavy is the umbrella and pole, and what is the size of the umbrella when fully extended open? These numbers are important to ensure that your base is heavy and solid enough to counter-balance the upper weight and girth of the umbrella.
I saw a lovely umbrella stand made from a flower pot. Get a tube, maybe just a cardboard tube and insert, then pour concrete around the tube halfway up the pot. This way, you can insert the umbrella and remove it. Fill around the top half with soil and plant flowers!
Wood crate upside down drill holes larger then a door hole all over to fit the umbrellas then paint it .
