Old clawfoot tub outdoors
I have on old clawfoot tub that we won't be able to reuse indoors, so I'd like to try to use it outside. I've thought of a soaking tub, but Im always playing around with the idea of a 'seasonal' decoration type thing. Summer is easy..flowers. Fall, pumpins, gourds, etc. What could I use for winter that will have more of a country/cabin/winter type look that would cover from after Thanksgiving till Feb?? And keep in mind, it will be outside! Thanks for any ideas!

Hi Lynn, Are you in a climate with snow? You could always decorate with with Christmas lights and some sort of snowman sitting in the tub :) for the winter.
I like the snowman idea! What about Santa's sleigh? With a reindeer, Santa, and a few "presents", it could be spectacular! Good luck and stay safe!

If you have evergreen trees or shrubs, fill it with branch trimmings in a pleasing winter arrangement. The cold weather will help them last for months.
Hi Lynn, soaking tub sounds wonderful. Hope these ideas help you.

I have galvanized decorated buckets out on my porch in the winter and you could do the same with your tub. After your plants are out, cover soil with ground cover. Get some white birch limbs that are cut at whatever length you like. Mine are 18 inches and 24 inches. Stick the limbs at different angles, weave in battery-operated white lights. Add pinecones. I place red berry spikes in mine, but you may need more color. In that case, wide red mesh ribbon OR waterproof ribbon. Last year I bought double-sided waterproof ribbon at Costco. It was a bazillion yards, because: Costco! Anyway, I get a lot of ideas off Pinterest and then try to recreate as cheaply as possible. I would just getvthese items and go nuts, toss them around as much as you want!
Hello Lynn,
Frozen pond with skaters etc.....
The frozen pond with skaters idea is great! You can also add reindeer to the front to look like it's pulling it. Fill with presents and/or an outdoor Santa.
