I have ants in my house and have not been able to get rid of them. I have pets so it must be safe for them.

I spray and that keeps them at bay, but I know they are still in there...eating away, populating and doing whatever little ants do because they occasionally come out ... See more

I find that Terro ant killer works the best and the fastest. It is of LOW toxicity to pets but you do want to try and keep them away from it.

Ants: Safe and Effective Cure
Here is some info to help you with your ant problem. https://www.thespruce.com/how-to-get-rid-of-ants-2656468
If you can locate the entry point, apply Vaseline gel around it. If the entry is more spread out, pour a line of baby powder. Both methods worked at a nursing home.
Try to find the area or areas where the ants are entering. Surround that area with a line of ground cinnamon. Ants will not cross a line of cinnamon, ever. My mother-in-law shared that tip with me 30 years ago when we had a crawling baby, a toddler and a dog and needed something 100% non-toxic. I've used cinnamon as an ant repellent in 4 different homes over the years, it works like a charm.
Diatomaceous earth will do the trick.
Cinnamon, chalk dust, agricultural grade Diatomaceous Earth, Bay leaves, vinegar are some options, when dealing with ants. The type of ants you have may dictate most effective deterrents. Ants are drawn to sand, food sources such as pet foods or stored foods in your kitchen, and water ( including spigot areas, outdoors). Check for entry points and seal them. In difficult situations, professional sprays may be needed. You may also need to have your yard sprayed.
If you can find the entry point, that will help. I had ants in my kitchen. I discovered that there was a small hole in the molding around a nearby door. Once I caulked around the door, I solved the ant problem.
I also find those ant traps you buy in stores like Target or Walmart to be really useful.
Indoors use Terro liquid bait traps and outdoors use diatomaceous earth. They both work near instantly and the latter is all natural and pet safe.
