Hello Marilyn-Kay, you can do a few things to improve these, you could add extra shelving above the one in the picture above, and put a glide shelf on the lower one so you can use it all the way to the back without reaching, Check out this video, hope it helps you

I would suggest several wire slide out racks for your pantry. Put the heavy items on the bottom of the pantry, and fewer items on the sliders. That way you can easily access what's in the back. with the wire, you can put light items like seasoning packets on hooks and hang from the bottom - another space saver. Another option would be to remove all the shelves and use stackable open-front bins (ala Dollar Store). Optimize that space. Get soda can organizers for canned goods like soups and veggies. Hope I gave you some workable ideas!
Extra shelves can be added. A cleat can be added to the sides and back to support the new shelves. Mounting the cleats will depend on the material on the sides. Just make sure the cleats are level. If the shelves are long than a piece of wood can be attached to the front edge of the shelf to it doesn't bow.
you could use a wooden brace under the shelves too

Marilyn Kay: something like this would help distribute the weight better:

I'd add risers like this: https://www.charlestoncrafted.com/101-in-1001-why-didnt-we-do-that-sooner-pantry-upgrade-edition/
Could you put a tray in there, similar to a cookie sheet to manage the weight of the products you are storing?
I would add more shelves so there isn't so much stuff stacked on one shelf.
That would also help you organize better. You could get a better idea of what you have on hand by just glancing in the pantry.
Also helps to put like items together.
I would put narrower shelves above the deep shelves to distribute the storage. Or you can convert the deep shelves to slide out shelves by adding drawers slides to them.
Hello Marilyn,
I would suggest less stuff on shelves and more shelves added to the pantry.
Hi! I would vary the depth of the shelves, like stair steps, with the widest being at the bottom. That way you would be able to see more of each shelf. Lazy Susan's also help keep things from hiding on the back of a shelf. Good luck and stay safe!
First, re-inforce by adding a shelving board. Second, add a second tier with wire shelving. They are wonderful for organization to keep from piling up and stacking items.
Try putting a pice of wood on them first even paint it white then put your stuff make the wood the size of the shelf that will keep it from bending
You can use shelves that stack on top of each other or plastic milk crates to make shelves.
