Here's some info to help you Linda!
I like to blot the stain with a dishsoap solution and then rinse and rinse and rinse with clean water. I use my carpet cleaner to suck up the water so the carpet gets as dry as it can once the spot is cleaned.

Most commercial cleaners should do the trick. I purchased a rug cleaner years ago and am not sorry. It works for any stain, pet, food or just foot traffic. Bissel, Shark and Hoover all make good ones for $150 range. I have had mine for 20 years and still going strong. Most come with a cleaning product included to get you started. I have found the best cleaner is the ones advertised at the home shows where the carpet is filthy and they go over it with a carpet cleaner and it is bright. It really works. Blood, grease, urine all come out like a charm.

Hi Linda, hope this helps you out,
Mix a solution of 2 cups of warm water, 1 tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap and 1/2 cup of vinegar. Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the mixture and apply to the soiled area. Blot lightly. You may need to do this a couple of times to remove a tough stain.
You can rent a carpet steam cleaner from Walmart that works well
Hello Linda,
You could try a Steam Cleaner........
n a clean spray bottle, mix one cup of distilled white vinegar with one cup of water and 2 teaspoons of baking soda. Shake it up to mix the ingredients, and then spray on the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then blot with towels until clean.
