How do I get lime away stains off my tile?
I sprayed lime away on my shower tile (I believe it’s porcelain) and it left these horrible stains! Then I tried to get it off with vinegar and water and it did nothing! Did I ruin my tile? Is there a shower tile cleaner that will get rid of this?

Hi Amanda, this is Peggy. I hope this works for you. I also read to use lime away, but it did not work for me. Good luck How to Get Calcium Deposits Off Shower Tile | Hunker

Mist the shower tiles with pure, undiluted white vinegar. Let the white vinegar sit on the calcium deposits for 15 minutes. Step 3. Scrub the deposits of the shower ...
I'm so sorry this happened. Try vinegar in a spray bottle.
If vinegar doesn't work, I have two other tricks, but, as goofy as they sound, they have worked for me. If you have WD40, spray it on one of the deposits and let it work for a bit. You may still need to scrub a bit, but, it had removed some pretty tough stuff for me. The other is easy to get, also, and it's cola. The name brand Coke works great, but, costs more. I have soaked stuff in generic cola and it worked. The biggest problem with any vertical surface is liquids run down. Sometimes covering it with plastic food wrap after applying helps it work longer. Good luck and stay safe!
There is a toilet bowl cleaner called the works, the blue one not the green one. This does miracles on lime and scale, the problem lies that you can not get it on any chrome fixtures, it will discolor it.
Give the manufacturer of the Lime Away a call and see what they say. I would hesitate to apply any more chemicals. They may ask for specifics about their product, so have the bottle ready. Hopefully they will have the solution you need.
Hello
Amanda,
Perhaps you need to put the lime remover on again to take of the rest of the lime stains. Hope it works for you. Had another thought, It could be that the LIME in the limescale has eaten into the tile, if it has been there for years. You might be able to bring back the colour by using something like Art paint - stippled on or maybe Sharpies?

Use a descaling cleaner to remove these stains, try a toilet bowl cleaner like Lysol in the black bottle but test it first. Let's hope they are stains. In the future, you might try wet & forget shower for maintenance of your tile. I know this is a DIY site but sometimes you have to pay for a product. It's the only thing that keeps me from wearing myself out cleaning the non skid floor and glass shower doors.
Lime Away is NEVER to be used on hard, non porous surfaces (you can verify this, on line). Your tile may thus be ruined, but if you can find the exact same tile manufacturer, you may have to contact them for advice.
stone tiles are porous it might of said don’t use on stone tru using more lime away in a small spot and wash it away right then don’t leave on if that doesn’t work call the company on the back of the bottle
I suggest you contact the company and perhaps supply the pic you posted here and ask for advice.

Porcelain is not porous and I think this is a stone product.
Nevertheless, it looks chemically etched. After you neutralize it, you can paint it with an epoxy paint, as I think it is ruined.
It looks like it is etched if you've already tried scrubbing it off... Maybe try a Mr. Clean magic eraser, if not then it is etched and I would contact the company.
Did you ever find a solution? I did the same thing today to my shower.
