Where to find cement for crafts?
I made a barbell this summer from concrete mix and it had a lot of small stones in it. I’m thinking to DIY some small things for kitchen and that concrete mix seems too rough. What’s the better option?

Hi April. Unsanded mortar should do the trick better than regular cement :)
Not all cement is created equal. Cement without aggregate is basically mortar.
Rapidset Cementall Concrete Mix will start to thicken in about 30 seconds and can usually be taken out of the mold after 1 hour. The molds that I make are quite stiff and this mix will withstand the vigor needed to sometimes take them out. This mix is super fine, will pick up all the details and provide a super smooth white finish. It will be even be shiny when the mold is also shiny material.

They sell a countertop mix quikrete concrete that is smoother but very expensive.
Just had someone I know get cement poisoning from not wearing a respirator or gloves when dealing with cement. This stuff can really mess you up. So be safe and remember to glove and mask up before dealing with the stuff.
In the powder form it isn't too bad but when water is added that is when the problems can occur.
I get mine from the local hardware store. It is the same product.
Mortar mix would be your best solution. It is similar to concrete but without the aggregates.
