I love a silvery gray! You can't go wrong with any color with what you already have. There's a color I have wanted to try called Rainwashed by Sherwin Williams. It's very light and what color you see is totally dependent on light. I tried it on an enclosed back porch on one wall (I had a sample) and it was bluish or greenish depending on the natural light. Since we're repainting the inside of the house to sell, we've gone light gray and a creamy white for the rooms. But, I haven't decided on that back entry. If it was for me, I would go with the Rainwashed, but, I may go with the cream color to appeal to more buyers. What would you like? Good luck and stay safe!
I like light blue!
Hello since adjacent room are darker...log cabin walls we have a creamy white. The color of your countertops might be another determining factor. Best wishes deciding on your color palette.
Hi Peggy. Our kitchen is gray with white trim and we love it. The gray works with the back splash, the counter tops, and the white cabinetry. My favorite thing is the white trim. It makes everything look clean and fresh. Good luck picking your colors.
I have tan walls, light grey cabinets and a light colored floor. I would go with a wide plank light colored luxury vinyl. The vinyl today isn't your grandma's sheet vinyl. I have seen beautiful patterns to choose from and the best part they are completely water proof. Not water resistant but water proof.
Those all work together to make the kitchen light but not stark white. I really am tired off white cabinets in the kitchen. Too much white looks like a hospital room. You want it to be homey but not homely.
I have sage green with light gray cabinets. Pergo Graceland Oak laminate flooring. Gives the kitchen a Mediterranean feel.
What color of wood? If a dark contrast to your cabinets, I would go with a barely there green. What I mean is almost a white with a green tint. Paint always looks darker on the wall than it does in the can or on a small chip.
Light gray walls is a "go to" color for many. The white cabinets remind me of an IKEA kitchen which is functional and rigid, just a cold kitchen to my thought process.
Hi,
Duck Egg Blue, Pale Lime green, Pale yellow gold, Light Grey, Hope that helps!
Benjamin Moore Paris Rain is really pretty light grey/green. Looks lovely with golds in a room, OR looks lovely with grays. Sort of an all around "could go with any color" color.
I personally am always attracted to gray :)
I went with light french gray, I have multi color tile floors. Also check out Sea Salt. Both are Sherwin Williams.
Whatever you choose, it should coordinate with your flooring, countertops, appliances, etc. Additionally, it needs to work in your lighting conditions and weather. Grey tones are simply too depressing in some areas due to many overcast days/rain, etc.
I love a light blue
Hello Peggy,
A pale green would be my choice, because you can add any colour you decide to accessorize with as everything would go with it. Like in a garden...Enjoy!
