This one is growing under the tomato plants. So far there have been no flowers. Can someone identify this plant?
Take a section to a local nursery to identify.
It could be one of the Nigella (maybe love in a mist) but I'm not certain by any means :)
This looks like a flower I have in my garden called cosmos. It gets pretty large . It is the flower in the front .
Here is about every type of weed, it could be crabgrass, but not sure look on this guide and you should find it. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/soil-fertilizers/soil-types-and-weeds.htm
The leaves look like cosmos, will be able to tell more after the blooms.
Hi Everyone! Thank you for your responses! I believe it is COSMOS!! I did put some
seeds into the dirt (I received an envelope with seeds without a name as a wedding favor), apparently some seeds were carried to another part of the garden where I did not plant any, soooo, I just wanted to make sure that it was a flower before I pulled it out. I have no buds or blooms, yet. THANK YOU EVERYONE!
It looks like either cosmos or dill to me, you'd think if it was dill it'd have a scent
here is a cosmos plant
Looks like Dill to me!
Hello. It looks like cosmos to me as well. You may wish to wait for a blossom to be sure. Additionally for the best local professional advice
I would highly suggest contacting your cooperative extension. These offices are manned by volunteer master gardeners on site there waiting to answer the communities questions that know your local situation quite well.
Master gardeners are required to volunteer back designated hours ( plus continuing education) each year to maintain MG certification -this community outreach and education is their goal.
If your office is closed....there might be alternative online venues like Ask an Expert as well as emailing your local master gardeners extension office for their guidance.... in a non contact manner. Generally our offices identify weeds insects and plant diseases as well as general gardening questions
I think it's a Cosmos. Don't pull it yet and wait to see if it blooms. Cosmos flowers looks like a daisy. That way you will know for sure. Good luck.
Hi! you can contact a Master Gardener in your area -- and ask!
