How to find vintage sewing patterns?
Hello, I'm looking for a vintage pattern for the once popular toddler crossover tops with bloomers, or crossover pinafore or some call if a crossover dress. The straps crossed over in the back and buttoned on the shoulders. I think Simplicity, McCall's, Butterick, etc. all made a version of this pattern. How would I search for such a pattern without having a pattern number? Many thanls!

Hi Judy,
Are any of these the pattern that you are thinking of?
I found them by typing in a few descriptive words - such as vintage toddler pattern crossover pinafore top, in the search box in Google Images. To get to the Google Images search page, open Google first. Then go up to the top right hand corner of the page and click on Images.
Under each picture in the search results is the website source where the picture originated from. These could be websites that are selling vintage patterns such as Etsy, or Ebay, or other sources.
Keep in mind that not all vintage patterns that are available for purchase are uncut. The seller should specify whether the pattern is used or uncut.
Hi Judy - You might want to look on Etsy or eBay - great places for vintage items that are difficult to find! Hope this helps. Hugs, Holly
Oh my goodness, the memories this brings back. My mother had this pattern, probably still does. She made these for me in the 60's, my niece in the 80's, and my daughter in the 90's. If your google search doesn't return results, let me know and I'll check on my next visit to find the pattern brand and number.
