Hello Anita, this should help you out,
The recipe I use is one gallon white vinegar, 1/2-1 ccup of Epsom or table salt, and a squirt of Dawn Blue dishwashing liquid which helps the mixture adhere to the weeds. Mix well and pour into a spray bottle or garden sprayer and apply to weeds. Within a 2-3 days the weeds sprayed with this mixture will be dead and can be raked or swept up. Do not let overspray get on plants you wish to thrive. This works well for grass and weeds growing up between pavers and the earlier you can apply to small weeds the better.
Here is some ideas for you Anita.
Hello. Selective herbicides ( wont harm grass) can be purchased at most retail venues —if you do not wish to use commercial chemicals preparations -there are diy homemade alternatives.
Recipes using natural household products can be a way to eliminate your weeds, these very helpful links from Hometalk are a great a great synopsis.
I just spray on straight white vinegar. I don't bother adding salt and detergent. Works well.
1 gallon of vinegar, 1 cup of salt and 1 tablespoon of dawn.

Hi Anita: Here are 2 recipes:
The recipe I use is:
1 gallon of white vinegar
2 cups of Epsom salts
1/4 cup of dish washing detergent, like Dawn.
Mix the vinegar and salt until the salt is completely dissolved.
Mix in the Dawn until mixed well, but not all fuzzy and sudsy, sort of swirl it around.
Put in a spray bottle and spray the weeds liberally, in the morning after the dew has gone. Then, by evening the weeds should be dead or on their way out. Don't spray anything you want to keep or it will die too. I have used this and it works quite well. Also, it's good for making an edging as it kills only what it touches. If you have something like a piece of cardboard, hold it up and down, edgewise, and spray the area you want as an edge. Just be careful not to spray your flowers and/or bushes.
WEED KILLER WITH DAWN
1 gallon white vinegar
1 cup of salt
1 Tbsp liquid Dawn
Combine ingredients and put into a spray bottle and spray the weeds at the sunniest time of day.
This mix is very effective so make sure it doesn’t spray on something you DON’T want to kill.
Hi Anita - The struggle is real, isn't it?!? This is the most effective all-natural weed killer DIY that we use. It's even been featured on Hometalk and pinned thousands of times! Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

1 gallon white vinegar and cup Epsom salts and ¼ cup liquid dish soap Combine ingredients in spray bottle and treat weeds at the hottest time of day for best results.
Be careful with Epsom salt, sometimes it can be a fertilizer rather than killer. Regular salt will kill everything in its path but it will leave your soil barren for a while.
I found this video with those ingredients: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0mUOr411rs&t=79s
Thank you all for replying. Can’t wait to get out and see these weeds die!
