The furniture is original to a beach condo. Still in good shape but top is scratched and glass definitely requires upkeep. Thanks

It depends on what is made of and the style. If the top is wood, sanding and refinishing is a good option, then you could paint the legs.
Hi Cathy, I am not sure what look you are going for but here is one that I did that had an aged beachy feel to it... https://www.recreateddesigns.com/2016/07/saltwashed-coffee-table-straight-beach/
And one that had the completely opposite feel :) https://www.recreateddesigns.com/2016/07/federal-style-coffee-table/

Can you add a pic so we can be more specific to help? What kind of wood is your coffee table currently? What do you want to do?....stain or paint?
Whether paint or stain, make sure to seal. Coffee tables are normally high wear and tear so you want to protect with a poly coating. I would go 3.

If the table is made of wood, you could sand it then paint or stain. Using paint, or a combination of paints will give you the biggest bang for your buck. I would go with 3 coats of paint, lightly sanding in between each coat. Then seal it.
