My faucet is dripping. Help.
The sink faucet in our bathroom is dripping. It started out with a slow drip but has gradually gotten worse over time. I can only imagine what this dripping will cost on my water bill. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you need to replace the washer inside the faucet. You can buy the kits that come with lots of different sizes from your hardware store. You must switch of the main water supple before you open up the tap and replace the seal. This is so much cheaper than getting out a plumber.
try to tighten up all the connections under the sink and the faucet first.

Unless tightening the washer fixes it, you can try replacing it. It can be it isn't completely cutting off at the handles. Sometimes you can replace the washer on those as well. Most likely, it's time for a new faucet.
HI! a lot of faucets now are washerless. If this is the case, you may need a new faucet. Look in the clearance sections of Lowes! They have great deals.

If you can't replace the part yourself, call Handyman Connection. They are in most areas. Local people that do a good job. You usually get a few callbacks and get an estimate.
There are a TON of videos online to show you how to repair this problem. The most important thing you need to do is TURN OFF THE WATER SUPPLY to the sink before you attempt repairs. It isn't very hard to do.
Hi! It depends on what type of faucet it is. Many are "washerless" now, and have a cartridge that can be replaced. Repair kits are specific to manufacturer. Sometimes it is easier to replace a faucet. We had hard water, and would fix the faucet several times before it had to be replaced. Sometimes, a faucet is just worn out. They just don't make them like they used to. Some have so many plastic parts that they just don't last. Shutting off the water will be your first step! Good luck and stay safe!
For sure! Turn off the water under the sink.
You need to replace the “seat” in the faucet. You can do this yourself. Go to utube and watch the video to replace the seat. You will be amazed at how quickly you can fix this.
Check the washer(s) inside of your faucet. You may need some help with this if you are not handy with such things. It sounds like the washers are wearing out.
