I just use straight vinegar. I have a Ryobi battery operated sprayer. I fill the tank with vinegar, spray the weeds, drain the tank, and rinse let over vinegar with water to clean out the hose and pump.

You should try to find horticultural vinegar as regular everyday vinegar might not be strong enough. Using vinegar to kill weeds is an incredibly long process, you're better off pulling them.

Actually I use vinegar, dawn and epsom salt. I pour the epsom salt on the weeds, the spray with half vinegar, 2 tablespoons of dawn and fill the rest of the bottle with water. Do this in the day time, where the sun can heat the solution up. Works like a charm.
This ones adds salt, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0mUOr411rs&t=44s
Hi! I worry about salt being added (it can seep into the water supply through groundwater), so I usually just pull them or pour boiling water from a teakettle on them. Vinegar also works. Good luck and stay safe!

Depending on where you live, both vinegar and epsom salts can be pricey.
If you want the cheapest and most permanent way to kill the roots of the weeds, pull or dig them out.
Hi Terry,
I know you've had several answers to your question. I wanted to tell you that vinegar and a little Dawn are my preferred weed killer and I use that mixture all the time. I put plain white vinegar in a air pumped spray container then add some Dawn, gently stir it up, then prep the sprayer pump for use. I then walk around my garden and spray any stay weeds I find. It works amazing and my yard doesn't smell like chemicals. Wishing you the best.
2 cups white vinegar
¼ cup salt
Squirt of dawn
Mix in a spray bottle. If you have a larger area, you can mix in a garden sprayer with larger quantities. Use when it will not be raining for a few hours so that it isn’t washed away.

For a healthy supply of this man-made concoction, mix a gallon of white vinegar, one cup of salt, and one tablespoon of dish soap. Make sure it is properly stirred, then put the mixture in a spray bottle for easy use. You can stash the bottle in your house for repeated use.
