Standard height is 32 inches. Although, many are higher - up to 36 inches.
Hi Cindy, standard is as Ann said above but depending on who is using it and what their height is you might want to adjust this a little up or down. If it is a kids bathroom for example you might want to lower it slightly.
For many years it was 30-32", people are taller now than previous generations on the average, so you will see some now at 36". The standard is 32", the comfort height is 36". I would also draw into consideration the height of the people that will be using it.

Try several out at the store that are on display. My FIL is 6'6", husband 6'2", so we added height to all ours cabinetry. I'm 5'8" & it's more comfortable being higher. Except microwave - I have to tip toe in the kitchen.

I have always found bathroom vanities to be too short. Go by what is the best height for you and yours.
If this is for a child's bathroom it could be shorter or for better resale in the future you could just provide a step stool for them to use.
Some folks are selling what they call a comfort height. That is about 6 inches taller then traditional heights. This reduces the strain on your back caused from bending over.
Do you have other tables in your home you can go around and see if you like the height of any?
Hi Cindy,
It rather depends on how tall the folk are that are going to use it, but I would say between 2'6" and 3' Which ever seems comfortable for most. Enjoy your project!
Well that will be determined on where you comfortable look! If you are doing a custom job, then sit on the chair you will use, and you determine a comfortable height for you to sit, and where you should put the mirror!
Hi Cindy, Comfort height, or counter height, vanities measure to be about 36 inches in height, versus a more standard 30-inch or 32-inch bathroom vanity. Why the extra inches? Overall, people are taller today than they were 100 years ago, and the extra height provides easier access and less back strain for most people.
It’s going to depend on the type of sink you plan to use with it too, whether you go with a vessel or above counter sink or a more typical sink.
