It’s possible. Just be sure to keep any vents and sensors paint free!
This can be done.
If possible remove the frame from the tv screen, if not then tape off the screen with painter's tape.Clean the frame intact with a grease dissolver on a moistened rag, wipe off. If it doesn't come off, paint with a narrow brush going side to side on the horizontal frame and up and down on the perpendicular parts.
If it is removable, clean well with soap and water so no grease of household dirt is on it, let it dry. Then sand lightly so your paint will stick, wipe off with a damp rag. Here you can either spray or put the paint on with a brush. Do this lightly, you can always add more layers later.
Honestly, I had never thought about painting a tv frame, sounds interesting. Hope your project comes out well.
Yes you can. You would need to lightly sand the frame to remove any gloss. Use painters tape to cover the screen. Be very careful. Use spray paint made for plastic for a smooth finish. Most people actually frame out the tv and turn it into a picture

Hi Angie. Yes, you can paint your TV. Just lightly sand it with 220 grit sandpaper to remove any shine. Then wipe it down with a clean cloth to remove sanding dust. Next is primer. Kilz makes an excellent primer. And last, paint. You could tape over screen and spray paint it. Good luck Angie.
Buy the colors of spray paint you want the outside of the screen to be, and get a large sheet of plastic so you can protect the screen from the paint, spray the colors on VERY lightly and evenly until the entire perimeter of the tv has an even coat, let it dry for a day, and enjoy your new tv!
Hi Angie, you can definitely paint your TV, just make sure to protect all the screen and the areas that house the electronics well.
I've never seen anyone paint the actual set. You would have to be super careful of all the controls and speakers. Perhaps consider contact paper instead.
You can definitely paint the outside white using this type of spray paint: https://amzn.to/3iua4On
Just make sure to protect the screen.

I wouldn't try painting it. If you have a flatscreen TV, maybe you can just use white washi tape along the edges.
I think the washi tape is the way to go. Paint can get into your vents, or on your screen. You would not want to ruin your tv because of painting.
Hello Angie,
You might be better to put a white Gaffer tape on it rather than try to paint it. Best wishes.
